THE BAND

Rhythm guitarist, Will Chambers was born a po' teacher's child in the blues Mecca of Casper, Wyoming.  At a young age, he went down to the crossroads of Highways 220 and 287. There, he found nothing but a dessicated pronghorn carcass.  Dejected, he made his way home to soothe his weary soul with Led Zeppelin cassettes.  Many years later, he found a shiny, guitar shaped object and dared to touch it.  Shortly thereafter, he discovered vintage  instruments and amplifiers.  He is currently living under a bridge, and has become a connoisseur of creamy tube saturation, Canned Heat, and Spam.  Turn ons:  long walks on the beach, puppies, world peace, and most of the Chess records catalog.  Turn offs: plagues, pestilence, and disco.

Rick Constantino got his first drum kit at age 5. As he grew, he was influenced by Danny Serephine and singing drummer Don Brewer. Studying their styles, Rick created one of his own. At age 16, Rick was performing in restaurants and lounges with the band Tapestry, and at age 19 he entered the night club scene, with the bands Black Canyon Gang (southern rock) and Ukiah ("California rock"). Over the years, Rick played in several other bands, including Fat Freddy's Cat and Train Wreck Jimi. Rick recently achieved notariety as a Soultone Cymbal endorsee, playing Peace Paragon Maple drums. Rick's "the man on the golden sticks."

Barb Atkinson started out as a clarinetist, achieving "first chair" status every year throughout her schooling, as a youngster in 5th-grade band, through high school marching, jazz, and symphonic bands, and into college at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Barb never sang (other than in the shower, into a pencil, or with the car radio) until she moved to Memphis, TN in 1996. There in Memphis, "home of the blues," she was fresh out of graduate school, and began her career as a professional geologist; however, she also found and truly felt the Blues, soul, and gospel.  With some talented friends/bandmates who could support and foster her new-found ability and passion, singing, Barb immersed herself in the music, and began fronting as lead vocalist for the small Memphis rock-and-soul band, Spoonfed!  Leaving Memphis for a career change in 2007, Barb moved her family to Casper, WY, and quickly sought out the music, leading her to form Blue Marble Project, which quickly gained popularity in an ever-growing music culture in Casper. Moving onwards and upwards, in 2014, she joined up with some multi-talented musicians to form Barrel House....as lead vocalist for the band, she has quickly found it to feel just like home. ♥

Lead guitarist, Chase Nash, started playing guitar in 1983 on an old 58 Gibson that was given to him by his grandfather. A rather quiet guy, Chase has been around the country, and the world, and has played in many places and venues. Although not too flashy, he plays for the song, and rarely plays songs the same way or in a "copycat" style. It's always something a little different. ♫♪

Guy Selvey is the the newest member of Barrel House and, as the bassist for the group, can play practicaly anything you set in front of him.  A long-time Casper citizen, Selvey is rooted in good music and is an experienced musician, opening for some of the bigger bands you may have heard of, from "back in the day" ... bands such as the Charlie Daniels Band.  You gotta see what this 'Guy' can do!

Barrel House, featuring “front-woman” vocalist Barb Atkinson, smooth guitarists Chase Nash & Will Chambers, cool bassist Greg Kearns, & slick sticks drummer Rick Constantino, rock up the blues!

Formed in January 2014, Barrel House has quickly grown in its musical focus, drawing on influences and icons, old and new.  The band honors roots music to bring you sounds reminiscent of many well-known artists, including John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, BB King, Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Susan Tedeschi, The Allman Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, U2, Led Zeppelin, and Janis Joplin, to name a few.  Let yourself go, and move to the music:  it’s Blues, Rock, Funk, Delta, Porch Jam, and even the “Elaine jerk & twitch”….all rolled into one sound that is Barrel House!
